Reliable, repeatable, secure connectivity across Dovehaven’s dozens of sites

The challenge

From business strategy to operational infrastructure to resident connections, Dovehaven needed a robust, secure solution to roll out across multiple sites.

Infrastructure in the cloud: Patient records, medicine dispensing and other services had all moved to the cloud and existing infrastructure wasn’t designed to support this.

Better connected residents: Dovehaven is committed to providing ‘Technology that enhances life’, and residents increasingly want to stream Netflix, make video calls and instant message their loved ones.

‍Aggressive acquisition plans: Dovehaven intended to double in size within a few years and needed a partner to provide a repeatable solution that can be easily rolled out to future sites.

The solution

We provide connectivity and managed security across the Dovehaven portfolio in the form of leased line connections into the four biggest sites, and SoGEA & FTTP connections to the remaining twenty; all supported by Managed Firewalls to keep staff and residents securely connected.

Leased lines are our bread and butter at Elevate, providing fully dedicated internet access through a secure connection. Built just for one business or site, you don’t share bandwidth or suffer the associated slow downs. For the Dovehaven sites that didn’t need guaranteed symmetrical bandwidth, we provide a mix of SoGEA and FTTP.

Going forward, the Dovehaven team will be able to pick and choose the preferred solution for each new site - and we’ll be able to provide the reassurance of managed firewall protection, whichever connectivity option they go for.

The outcome

The new connectivity removes all residential broadband and legacy copper infrastructure across Dovehaven, providing a secure, modern network designed for consistency and resilience. Key applications such as voice services and cloud-based care systems are prioritised to ensure reliable performance, while enhanced security protects users and data across all sites.

The solution also delivers increased bandwidth and full network visibility, providing clear insight into application usage, bandwidth consumption and blocked threats. This enables better management of the network while improving resident experience, allowing reliable TV streaming and video calls with family.
